The Most Powerful Gift You Can Give Your Family Is A Mother Who Prioritizes Her Own Wellbeing

My Story

I began my career as a psychologist serving as an officer in the US Army. Throughout my military service, I provided psychological assessment services and therapy to children and adults across the lifespan. My journey took me from coast to coast, including a deployment to Iraq in 2008-2009 with a Combat Stress Control Detachment from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where I served as a clinical psychologist supporting our troops during one of their most challenging seasons. After relocating to Nashville in 2018, I have continued providing services to children and adults, as well as teaching emotional intelligence classes to middle school and high school students.

I completed my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology degree (Psy.D.) at Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, California. I then completed an internship training at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, and my residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

My Approach

I approach clinical work with an understanding of human behavior and emotion through the lens of attachment and faith. I have a passion for helping others grow to be uniquely the way God created them. I hope that my compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling creates a safe space for individuals to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings while moving them towards meaningful growth.

I utilize various therapy modalities in my clinical work, including Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe that understanding how we're wired and how we connect with others is fundamental to living authentically and building healthy relationships. Drawing from my extensive experience with diverse populations—from combat veterans to teenagers to mothers navigating daily challenges—I bring both clinical expertise and real-world understanding to my practice. I know that lasting change happens when people feel truly seen, understood, and equipped with practical tools for growth.

Beyond Counseling

My love for the outdoors and hands-on activities reflects my belief that healing and growth happen not just in the therapy room, but through meaningful engagement with the world around us. I often encourage my clients to find their own ways of connecting with nature and creative pursuits, knowing that these experiences can be just as therapeutic as formal counseling sessions.

Whether it's the meditative rhythm of crocheting, the grounding effect of working in soil, or the clarity that comes from a long trail run, I know that wellness is cultivated through the integration of mind, body, and spirit in everyday life.

I’m Here to Help

If you're a mother who feels like you're constantly giving to everyone else while losing sight of who you are beneath all the roles you play, I understand. Perhaps you're struggling to connect with your children the way you'd like to, feeling overwhelmed by the daily demands of motherhood, or wondering if you're somehow falling short despite your best efforts. Or, you may find yourself reacting in ways that don't reflect who you want to be, feeling disconnected from your spouse, your children, or even yourself.

My passion is helping mothers grow in understanding themselves and their relationships with others. I am certain that when a mom understands how she is wired and how she connects, she can be at her best for her family.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or simply wanting to become the mother you've always envisioned being, I'm here to walk alongside you on this journey.
