DEVIN TERRY
Taking Care of You is the Best Way to Take Care of Them
Devin Terry, LCSW
I spent my career working with young people and families, utilizing individual, family, couples, and group therapy. I learned the importance of taking a holistic approach by understanding child development, supporting the implementation of parenting strategies, and supporting all family members. After having and raising children, I felt a strong calling and passion to be a witness to women in their journey with motherhood, offering support and speaking encouragement into their lives.
I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. I went on to attend the University of Tennessee and earned my Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Evidence-Based Interpersonal Practice. After working in the field for several years, I then completed the hours and testing requirements necessary to obtain my license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

My Story
My Approach
My counseling practice is based on the whole-person approach. It integrates multiple modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others. I approach my clients with warmth and aim to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to adjust to the client's needs and address what presents itself during each session.
I believe that every individual brings unique strengths and lived experiences that can guide the healing process. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover these strengths and build practical tools for growth. I also value creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful change. I hope that each session leaves clients feeling more grounded, understood, and capable of moving forward.
Beyond Counseling
I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. Spending time together with neighbors, sharing real life, and laughing is my favorite pastime. I also love to cook and read.
As a mom, I enjoy attending my sons’ activities and sports. I love a good organization project! I enjoy any and every activity in nature, especially hiking with my family. I am refreshed by being in the fresh air and the beauty of nature. I find that time outside helps me slow down and reconnect with what really matters. I also love discovering new trails and exploring new places together. Whether it’s a simple walk or a big adventure, being outdoors always fills me with energy and gratitude.
I’m Here to Help
Encouraging mothers to live and parent from a place of alignment with their values and beliefs is what I love most about my work. I am here to support and encourage mothers exactly where they are in their journey as individuals and in motherhood. I help moms look at their lives, stories, and challenges through a lens of grace and compassion.
My goal is to walk alongside them as they gain clarity about what they need and confidence in the steps they’re taking. By offering steady support, I encourage them to move forward in a way that feels grounded and intentional. Together, we work toward creating space for emotional health, self-understanding, and presence. Ultimately, I want moms to feel equipped to live and parent from a place of strength, wholeness, and genuine well-being.
Let's determine where you are in your journey, as a woman and a mom. I can’t wait to get to know the whole you!
