KELLIE PURDY

The Care You Give Yourself Ripples Through Everyone You Love

Kellie Purdy, CCLC

I began my work career as a middle school teacher and coach. Additionally, I have spent most of my adult life in youth ministry with organizations such as Young Life and the local church. After becoming a mom, I served as the director of the Children's Ministry at our church. I have also spent almost 20 years working at a Christian camp for girls in various capacities.

The collection of these experiences, along with some administrative positions in small businesses, led me to become a Life Coach. I earned a B.S. degree in Psychology with a focus on child development from the University of the South at Sewanee. I also hold a Master's in Education from Vanderbilt University, and I am a Certified Christian Life Coach (CCLC) through the American Association of Christian Counseling.

My Approach

I empower mothers to break free from limiting beliefs and create new patterns that build the connected, intentional relationships they've always wanted. Combining story exploration and personality insights, I help women step into new possibilities and better understand their children.

I believe every woman has a story worth exploring. I enjoy working with mothers and young adult women who want to understand their own journey while becoming more intentional in the relationships that matter most. We all have experiences that shape how we show up in our connections with others. My goal is to create a supportive space where women can explore these patterns, gain a fresh perspective, and develop needed skills for stronger, more fulfilling relationships moving forward.

Personal growth takes courage, and you don't have to navigate it alone. I am here to offer guidance, insight, and encouragement as you step into the next chapter of your story.

Beyond Coaching

I have been married to my husband, Mac, for more than 25 years. We have three adult children. Scarritt is a nurse in Birmingham. Mackinlay is an interior design major at Auburn University. Baden is finishing high school, playing lacrosse, and plans to own a bakery someday. We are also dog lovers and have two: a lab named George and an Aussie doodle named Trooper.

When I'm not coaching, you can find me outside. I love being outdoors, especially with friends or family, whether on a hike, kayaking, or playing pickleball. I also love music and a good story told through song or writing.

My summers have been spent working at a Christian Summer Camp for Girls, where I have done everything from taking pictures and training puppies to leading hiking trips and mentoring counselors. Camp is our home away from home, and the whole Purdy family has been blessed by nearly two decades of summers there.

I’m Here To Help

If you're a mom who feels like you're constantly reacting instead of responding, struggling to truly connect with your children, or finding yourself repeating patterns from your own childhood that you promised you'd never repeat—you're not alone. Perhaps you look at your children and think, "I just don't understand them," or you find yourself saying things you heard your own parents say and immediately regret it. Is the connected family life you've always envisioned possible?

Specializing in family systems coaching and using powerful tools like story exploration and personality assessments, I help mothers develop deep self-awareness. I believe that understanding your own story is the key to transforming your relationships. When you gain insight into why you react the way you do and learn to see your children through the lens of their unique personalities and needs, everything can change.

Let's discover the next chapter of your story—one where you show up as the mother you've always wanted to be.
