LAUREN MYERS
You’ve Been Strong for Everyone Else- Now Let’s Build Support For You
Lauren Myers, LPC-MHSP, CPA
A Kentucky native, I bring 18 years of experience walking alongside others in their therapeutic journey. I began my career in a child and adolescent residential therapy setting, where I became dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider and a Certified Psychological Assistant.
The diversity of my background includes serving as a consulting therapist for an organization that equipped men transitioning from prison to the community, and working as a school-based mental health therapist for several years. My commitment to the field led me to become a clinical supervisor for pre-licensed counselors. I have also had the pleasure of serving internationally in providing trauma training for a school staff in Haiti.
After my husband and I welcomed two baby boys into our family, I transitioned to establishing my own private practice, where I continue to dedicate myself to helping others find healing and growth.

My Story
My Approach
My approach toward therapy is genuinely warm and empathetic, focusing on the whole person. My goal is to seamlessly integrate faith into my practice where the client is comfortable, firmly believing that effective therapy involves developing a trusting and authentic relationship while also acquiring practical and realistic skills. I strive to offer a calm and inviting therapeutic environment that creates a space for clients to understand themselves with compassion, recognize habits and patterns that no longer serve them well, challenge unhelpful thinking, and process traumatic experiences.
My goal is to equip clients with adaptive coping tools, offer a nonjudgmental space where all emotions are welcome, and guide clients through the balance and challenges of motherhood, relationships, and chronic stress. Utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness-based techniques, and somatic-based interventions, I am always tailoring my methods to meet each client's unique needs. I see my role as both supporter and challenger, working alongside clients to find the balance between acceptance and change that will lead to the healing they envision.
Beyond Counseling
I love to travel and explore new cuisines with my husband and two boys. As a homeschooling family, we enjoy learning together and creating adventures wherever we go.
When I have a quiet moment, I am a big fan of mysteries (especially shows like Dateline) and enjoy diving into historical fiction or non-fiction books. I am a passionate gardener who finds peace and renewal in nurturing plants and watching them grow.
As an undeniable introvert, I treasure the deep, one-on-one connections established through sharing joys and burdens with others in therapy. This genuine love for authentic human connection is at the heart of everything I do.
